Essence Aromatherapy Training
and Development is delighted to be able to offer this exciting new one day
workshop that will expand your Reflexology Knowledge.
The course will be taught by
Gill Stringer MAR., a qualified Reflexologist and Tutor who is highly respected
within complementary medicine. She has five practices in Sussex, teaches for
Beacon Community College in Crowborough and runs courses and seminars both in
the Netherlands and UK |
You will learn advanced and alternative
techniques such as vertical Reflexology and gain a deeper insight into this
amazing therapy. You will also learn the Endocrine Balance technique as taught
by Susanne Enzer reproduced by her kind permission. The day will be very
interactive and you will leave feeling confident in the applications of all the
moves and techniques shown and raring to get going with your clients.

Course Content and What You Will
Learn
- A variety of Reflexology techniques and
their origins
- Adaptation of basic Reflexology
techniques
- Use of lubrication to gain a deeper
insight into the reflexes
- Varying pressure techniques
- Alternative techniques to help reduce the
occurence of repetitive strain injury to the hands
- Good posture to reduce strain on the
back
- The demonstration and practice of the
Endocrine Balance technique as taught by Susanne Enzer RN, RSCN, SCM, RZT

Further to the workshop you will be
required to submit two pieces of written work as follows:
A case study showing the appropriate
use of one or more further Reflexology techniques. The assignment should
include prior history of treatments if appropriate and any outcomes.Four or
more reports on occasions when any of the Further Reflexology techniques have
been used. The report should focus on the therapists' evaluation of the
technique used and awareness of changes to their normal practice.
On the submission of
assignments and after marking a Certificate in Further Reflexology
Techniques will be issued
Course Requirements:
Practitioner Certificate in Reflexology or Holistic Therapies including
Reflexology
The course is primarily practical in
content and attendees will be required to bring a couch or reflexology chair,
with towels and blanket and to wear appropriate work wear/whites.
Please note: Attendees
will be required to examine and work on each other during the practical
sessions.
