Learn this very popular
therapy... Your clients will love it!
Foot massages are a simple and
effective way to better health. According to Chinese Medicine, the foot is, in
fact, a separate body, which is directly related to all of our body parts and
organs. There is an old saying that goes, "when trees age, their roots age
first, when people age, their feet age first".
The foot is divided into many
different vital-energy sections, which can treat different areas of the body.
By massaging a section of the foot, the corresponding body area receives
specific therapeutic treatment, adjusting bodily functions, improving blood
circulation and metabolism. |
Traditionally, before massage, the
patient's feet are soaked in hot water for about 10 minutes in a wooden barrel
or foot bath, typically with a selection of herbs until the feet are warmed.
Once the feet are cleaned and rested, the masseur will apply a thick layer of
oil or lotion onto the lower legs and feet and then rub and knead every point
of the soles. The massage lasts for about an hour. The course is suitable for
Reflexologists and Massage Therapists.
