- Surface anatomy of the back
- Skin texture: temperature: degrees of
change
- Palpation of acute and chronic
conditions (diagnostic)
- Theory and practice of deep tissue
massage
- Heel of hand work
- Forearm and elbow work
- Basic Neuromuscular techniques for the
back
- Myofascial trigger points for the
back
- Practitioner posture and effective
massage
- How to "save your hands" during massage
treatments
- Suitable cold pressed vegetable
oils
- Safety notes and contraindications

Course Requirements:
Previous study of Anatomy, Physiology and Massage
The course is primarily practical in
content and attendees will be required to bring a massage couch, with towels
and 2 pillows and to wear appropriate work wear/whites. Comprehensive handouts
will be provided to keep writing to a minimum.
Please note: Attendees
will be required to examine and work on each other during the practical
sessions.
